Doctors of chiropractic have to complete minimum 90 semester hours for course including English, social science, chemistry, biology, humanities, physics and psychology for their undergraduate study which is followed by a bachelor’s degree. And bachelor’s degree is the minimum requirement of many employers. Chiropractic courses need at least 4,200 hours of shared classroom, laboratory, and clinical skill.

Employment options of doctors of chiropractic are projected to grow 20 percent in nest decade which is much more than other average jobs. Projected job growth stems from increasing consumer demand for alternative healthcare. Job views for beginner chiropractors are likely to be good, especially for those who get into multi-disciplined practice. Average salary of a chiropractor was $66,490 in May 2008. The intermediate persons earned between $45,540 and $96,700 per year. In 2009, the average salary of a chiropractor was $94,454 according to Chiropractic Economics magazine.
